2021 Bay Area ophthalmology course – june 28 – july 29

Due to coronavirus (COVID-19), all in-person summer conferences at Stanford have been limited. Our Bay Area Ophthalmology Course will be shifting to a virtual format for the Summer of 2021.

Neuro-Ophthalmology Offering CME

Accreditation Statement  

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.   

Credit Designation Statement  

Stanford Medicine designates this Internet Live Activity for a maximum of 14.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.   

American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) MOC

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, earns credit toward the Lifelong Learning requirement for the American Board of Ophthalmology’s Continuing Certification program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting credit.


The Bay Area Ophthalmology Course (formerly the Basic Science Course in Ophthalmology) has been offered to the vision community since 1970, presented by faculty from teaching programs and recognized experts from the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford and other institutions.
